Gabrielle's Gloves

OK, I might have mentioned to only a few of you that some ND undergrads are
working on a project that will create some gloves for Gabby's hands. We're
always concerned about her biting her hands (she's had moments when she
seemed to not be able to stop biting and I thought she was going to bite her
fingers clear off) and so we met with this team and described what we've
been looking for. They are actually making progress after our first
meeting. Here's a note below.

Isn't God amazing?????? Wow!

All,

Sorry for the delay in getting back to you but the group has been working
very
hard on finishing a pair of gloves for Gabrielle. So far we have decided on
a
few designs:
- Thin knit glove that should fit Gabby's hands
- Velcro opening to make it easy to put on and take off the glove
- Plastic exoskeleton over the fingers to provide protection from chewing
and
biting
- Neoprene (knee brace material) cover to protect the knit glove and
increase
durability
We are working on finishing up a pair and should have it finished within the
next few weeks. We would like to present what we have by the end of the
semester. Perhaps the second week of December. Is there a time you might
be
up in the area?

Let me know if you have any concerns. I look forward to showing you what we
have and I truly hope it works out for the best.

Thanks,

Brendan Hennessy
