Workout IN. Last chance workout for the year. I went 60 minutes on the treadmill. Off to shower and relax. Christine is going out to dinner with her new boyfriend and another couple. Megan will most like ask if a friend can come over to hang out. I have no intentions of driving anywhere tonight. Matthew has a friend that is coming over to play right now, but I will not have him past 6pm (I hope) I plan to just take it easy tonight. I cant believe my kids go back to school on Wednesday and I start back to driving around like a nutcase.
Biggest Loser new season starts tomorrow. I love that show even though the weightloss is way too fast. Happy New Year everyone. Love, JoJo

BTW
Reunion weekend is the weekend after 4th of July Grit. I need to start paying for my kids camps and getting them on the calendar. Fun :) Hey, we need to pick a Hilton Head house, who is IN?
Week 11 weigh-in...opps had a gain of 1.2. A little too much nibbling here. Last night Liz and Tom got here and even though I didnt have any points, I had a glass and a half of wine (5pts) and a biscotti (1pt) And before they came I had a serving of reduced fat crackers (3pts) that I didnt have any points for. I had banked 7 pts from working out, but really with the nibbling I have been doing here and there I am sure I didnt really have them to use. So needless to say, I need to write it all down, nibbles and all. I am looking forward to a really good weigh-in next week. I am ready for the new year to begin.

BTW, going to resend the link to Tom and Nancy to get them posting here. I want to get Tom to get onboard with losing weight with me. Time to get healthy in 2008.

Saturday workout IN. Just finished 60 minutes on the treadmill. Phew, I am beat. Last night I was up until 330am playing Wii with Megan and Ray (college kid). I am so sore today. The Wii is a workout. Joe, I know you got one for Christmas, you gotta play it with your kids. We have made our own Wii (think it is Mii) people. Megan and I are sporting our new glasses on our people, too.
Off to drink my water. Love you all, Jo

Thursday December 27th....WORKOUT IN. I got on the treadmill thinking I would go 30 minutes. I got to 30 minutes 177 calories burned and decided to go longer. I went 50 minutes and 300 calories. I thought about going 60 minutes. I felt so good. Of course, I got off and the phone rang. Christine wanted me to look up Krispy Kreme donuts for her. Must be nice to be young and thin and able to eat donuts at 1030pm. Sheesh

Re: Your Internet Banking

Thanks, Mike,

I can't believe what lengths people will go to in order to steal!  Very sad...and it's scary, too, how realistic these emails look.

Love to you all!

I hope you all had a Merry Christmas!  Happy New Year!

Love,
Grit

Guys,

Penny and I got this today and it looks like a technique called "phishing".  Phishing is a way for someone to try to get your banking and personal information.  They send an official looking email to you and ask you to click on a link (see message below - I've deleted the link).  If you go to the link, they will try to get you to give them information, like your banking passwords, credit card number, and 3-digit security code from the back of your credit cards.  Don't go to links like this.

I sent this information on to TCU, and to 2 government agencies.  The government has a website to tell you what to do in these instances.   Here it is:  http://onguardonline.gov/index.html

Love and God Bless

Week 10 weigh-in. Today I lost for the 10th week in a row. I was down 1.2 pounds for a total of 10.2 pounds in 10 weeks. Not bad for someone that still is NOT exercising UGH. I plan to put myself on the schedule in Janaury just like I do the kids activities. I will have to get my workout in before 2pm each day. I bet I will get more workouts before New Years than I have in a long time since I am not running the kids here and there.
Guess my next short-term goal is 15 pounds. 7 weeks until Hilton Head. Would love to be down 20 pounds by Hilton Head. I think it is doable if I start exercising. Love you all, JoJo

OK, I've kinda snuck into your blog... this is Joey. JoAnn let me in. Just wanted to wish a Merry Christmas from the NJ Hanlons (of course I haven't actualy lived there since 1982, so I guess I'm more of a Connecticut Hanlon at this point).

Matthew is going to try a new sport. Yikers.

Just ain't Christmas unless someone cries while your taking the family photo! Wait, I think we actually got this years picture without crying...

We did take some goofy shots though of us with some of our gifts! Aren't we funny?!

Love, Grit

My kids. This one was taken after we convinced Matthew to come back after I made him cry when he was smiling weird and I started laughing.
Week 9 weigh-in. I had a super stressful week. I lost for the 9th time. I lost .4 for a total of 9 pounds lost in 9 weeks. I have 2 weigh-ins left this year. I will go to my Christmas Eve 9am meeting and I will go to the New Years Eve 9am meeting. I am hoping to be down 10 pounds by the new year. It is 8 weeks until Hilton Head. I guess we need to talk about houses soon. Hope you all are doing well. Love, JoJo

Just need to vent a little...OK ALOT!!!!! I have never wanted Christmas to be over. And yes, I know what Christmas is about. But the STUFF of Christmas, I want to end. We dont have a tree and I dont really care if we get one. I know whatever I pay for it right now is WAY too much as it is December 16th. My kids are too busy in their lives to care whether Christmas traditions are upheld or any other tradition for that matter. They sit down to eat dinner and forget to pray. I have to remind them which is annoying. I really need to get Christmas cards sent out tomorrow and I have a package to send to Jon Thomas. I have a chair in my living room covered with coats I need to send out. I had no idea what I have bought my kids. And really I dont care. I bought some Xmas cards and I cant find them. I was so busy volunteering at school last week, that I didnt workout and I ate stupid (not over my points, just poorly) I spent yesterday and today trying to repair my week. I am overwhelmed and I feel angry. Yep angry. Mad at Marty for just leaving things out and not doing diddly. Mad at the kids for being so self absorbed. I feel like I am trapped in a really bad mood.
Ok, I said it. Now I need to go to the grocery store and do what I do every Sunday which is shop for school lunches. I am so annoyed. Sorry just had to get it off my chest. Love, JoJo

PS Mike cant you go to the new house, close your eyes and take some shots of the house LOL

Some Family Pics

8th week weigh in. I finally figured out, it is my 8th week. I lost for the 8th week. I was down .8, which makes me down 8.6 pounds in 8 weeks. (average 1.075 a week) Though I would like to see bigger losses, I am really happy that I am losing each week and not gaining not one ounce. Three weeks until 2008. My goal is to get to the 10 pound mark at least. Nine more weeks until Hilton Head.

Here are a few pictures of our visit to South Bend around the time of Leah's 1st birthday. I think it was actually the 12th of November. I still don't know how to post these pictures properly. Love you all. Ruth

Workout in. I did 30 minutes on the treadmill. Calories burned 180. I think I will continue to do 30 miuntes this week at this pace. Next week, I will maintain the same pace, but allow myself more time to workout...say 35 minutes working up to 45 minutes in the next couple of weeks.
All of them on Thanksgiving. I thought about using it for our Christmas card, but Christine doesnt like it. She wants her haircut before I take the picture. I need to get on it. JOJO

My girls on Thanksgiving. Looking more and more alike according to everyone that sees them.

Matthew on the day of his reconciliation. Growing up way too fast.

I miss the Christmas of our youth, too! We have been so blessed...I wish for those days more than I should...I hope my kids will look back at their youth with as many happy memories as I have! I raked leaves yesterday afternoon for quite a bit, too. I did our yard and most of Jeanette's next door since Joe passed and she shouldn't be doing it. I couldn't help but think about all the same things, Jo, except I was remembering how much I have always loved raking. I love the sound of the rake on the cement, the crunch of the leaves as they are raked and the piles of leaves to jump into when its all done. I hate the leaf blowers now that are loud and smell. In the end, raking is so much healthier!

I love you guys and sure wish we could all be together for Christmas! I'll take Hilton Head, though!

Hey, Mike, did you guys get a package from Me, Jo, Ruth and Tim yet?

God Bless!

Grit
Just finished 30 minutes on the treadmill. I, also, did light weights earlier watching TV. My intensity is getting better on the treadmill, last week calories burned was 150 and 153. Today it was 170. I cant believe it is almost 3pm, time for a shower. Love, JoJo
So much to do so little time. I know I should be decorating for Christmas, but it hasnt hit me that Christmas is just 21 days away. Are you guys ready for Christmas???
Yesterday I raked leaves for an hour. I dont know why but I love raking leaves. I like being outside doing something and raking leaves reminds me of the days when I used to like to shovel snow at night when it was still snowing and you could see it in the street lights. Today I think I will do the treadmill.
I am trying to think about Christmas gifts for my kids. ( I started typing some things I bought and then I remembered that Christine sometimes checks the blogs for updated pictures of Mike and Penny's house. I need to find a good picture of all 3 of my kids or take one. Christmas cards need to be done by next week. Yikes, it is coming fast.

Another loss...small but a loss again... down .4. SO I am down 7.8 pounds in 6 weeks (this my 7th week of WWs, the first week was my initial weigh in) So an average of 1.3 pounds a week. Just think at this rate, I will be down 25-50lbs by this time next year. What is not to like about that. Have a great week everyone. Love, JoJo
